New and visiting players are always welcome.
Bedford Town Band
Bedford Town Band is a contesting band and takes part in three or four contests annually at regional and national levels. It is currently a First Section Band. Its members also enjoy concert work. The band is active also around Bedford for events such as Remembrance Day and Christmas carolling.
Town Band rehearses twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday evenings 8pm – 10pm in the Primary Hall, Newnham Middle School, Polhill Avenue, Bedford, MK41 9DT.
The band is conducted by renowned professional trumpet player and conductor Craig Patterson.

An Afternoon Of Celebration
Bedford Town Band presents An Afternoon Of Celebration in memory of their solo trombone player Graeme Down, with special guests Bedford Brass.
The event will be on Saturday 15th November 2025, 3pm at the Bunyan Meeting Hall, Mill St, Bedford, MK40 3EU. Tickets in aid of The Stroke Association available on the door, £10 each.

Bedford Kite Festival
Bedford Town Band enjoyed performing on the Mill Meadows Bandstand on saturday afternoon 21/6 to entertain the huge crowds at The Bedford Kite Festival.

Bedford German Beer Festival
An ensemble from the Town Band performed at the Bedford German Beer Festival. A fantastic local event that was a real treat to be part of. Thank you to the organisers for putting on such a great event for the town, and for looking after us so well.
