Bedford Town Concert Brass
Bedford Town Concert Brass has proved very successful and provides a great musical outlet for players who want to enjoy playing a wide variety of concert repertoire but have no desire to contest.
Along with rehearsing programmes of varied music, the band aims to balance extending the players abilities while making the experience enjoyable, sociable, and fun for all.
The band has excellent membership and provides a progression for players from the Brass Academy and Progress Band.
Concert Brass has built up a following with its entertaining programmes playing a range of concerts and bandstands.
The band is conducted by Darren Smith, a musician who is a very experienced bass player and music teacher, previously with HM Royal Marines Band, currently with the Central Band Of The Royal British Legion, and often performing with various regional brass bands .
Concert Brass rehearses once a week on Monday Evenings from 7.15pm to 9pm in the Primary Hall, Newnham Middle School, Polhill Avenue, Bedford, MK41 9DT.
