Concert Brass Band are very much looking forward to this Friday 13/6 and participating in The Greatest Free Show On Earth a.k.a. The Saddleworth Whit Friday Band Contest.

For those who don’t know about the event it involves 100+ brass bands from all over the UK and internationally, of all playing standards, travelling between 11 different Lancashire villages, each with its own contest, competing for cash prizes.

As Concert Brass are usually a non-contesting band we certainly aren’t going to win any prizes for our marching prowess and it’s crossed for the Contest March performance but it’s the thrill of taking part we are going for.
